Trade shows are a great place to take a business, especially a startup business, when they are in desperate need of drumming up some custom for themselves. But, just turning up at a trade show with a pitch is not enough. No, certain things must be done both at the show and after it in order to make the whole venture a success.
Two of these things that must be done when you take your business to a trade show can be found below.
You must stand out, but subtly
You may think that the terms ‘stand out’ and ‘subtly’ cannot be used in the same sentence together, let alone achieved together when actually attempted. But, it can be done, and it should be one of the things that you certainly attempt to do at your business’s next trade show. It should be attempted because it will draw you attention like nothing else!
When you stand out subtly at a trade show you make your business look content to passers by at the show in regards to the business it drums up for itself. Basically, by not showing your business to be desperate for attention and custom you will give it a persona of not being one that is going to beg for custom because it seemingly already has enough, and that one ever makes a business more appealing to potential customers. So, don’t be out there trying to sell your business too hard by speaking to every passer by you meet. Instead, take a laid back approach and let them come to you.
But how do you make customers come to you at a trade show without any intervention or interference on your part? Well, you fill your pitch with as many interesting and attention grabbing things as you possible can, that’s how. This could be in the form of filling your pitch with canvas prints, stickers, t-shirts or any other form of printed media, all of which is offered by Aquarius Media, just make sure that what you do fill your pitch with is interesting and eye-catching. When that is the case, you’ll no doubt draw attention to yourself in the best ways possible.
Follow up on leads
The second thing you must do if you want to make your business’s next trade show a success is follow up on all the leads you got at it after you have cleared up for the day. Well, if you didn’t do this, the whole time you spend at the show would have been for nothing. So, follow up on those leads!
What this means is that once you are comfortably back in the office after a few days out of it, you should get to work right away in reaching out to everybody or every business that gave you their contact details — don’t be afraid to do this because you fear you will come across as annoying, if somebody gave you their details then you have every right to contact them! So, get emailing, get calling, get messaging and get getting in contact!
To win at your business’s next trade show, make sure to take heed of the advice above.
